About SCU

Established in 1989 by Stanley Scism, the institute trains ministers for assignment in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Bangladesh.

Scism Christian Institute is administered by a Senate, composed of a chairman, chancellor, lifetime honorary members, rotating ministerial members and presidents of each campus. The Senate appoints the presidents, who serves five-year terms. At the president’s request, the Senate appoints an advisory Council and principal. The principal, with ratification of the president, appoints a management committee, including a financial officer.

The chancellor and presidents coordinate faculty appointment, admissions and curriculum development. The principal daily administrates SCI.

Graduates and staff from Scism Christian Institute now serve in Australia, Bhutan, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the United States
