Orphan sponsor. You can know the orphan’s name and have contact with the orphan. For instance, I sponsor Lavanya at Faith Orphanage in Hyderabad. Orphan sponsorship is $40/orphan/month. We have 100 orphans in need right now. |
Student’s education. In this case, you’re not feeding a child, only providing education. $25/student/month. |
Ministerial student. This is a college grant for a ministerial candidate to study at Scism Christian University. These ministers have, so far, started over 200 churches in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, Malaysia, the USA and other nations. $450/minister/year. We have about 120 ministerial students needing these each year. |
Home missionary. This helps a graduate go and start a new church in a whole new area (this is not someone sitting in their home village and collecting bus transport money to reach surrounding villages, which would be cheaper, but rather someone leaving home and going to a new area to spread good news of Jesus Christ). $200/minister/month. In this case, we also need to know how long you commit to supporting this person. We have five of these in need right now. |
Village church. To build one usually costs about $3000 (we need this for Teesta and Chamong right now). |
Town/small city church. To build this usually costs about $10,000 (we need this for Darjeeling, Visakhapatnam, Along, Imphal and Kohima right now). |
Big city church. To build this usually costs about $50,000 (we need this for Jaipur, Agra, Kanpur and Varanasi right now). |
Megapolis church. To build this can cost about $250,000 (we need this for Bangalore right now). |
Bible college building repair/construction/reconstruction. This can cost $20,000 (we have four Bible college repair bills—Adur, Chennai, around this amount right now). |
Bibles. One Bible is about $6 in India or Nepal right now. We always need more of these. |
Training materials. These obviously cost widely varying amounts depending on their size and color. Home Bible study charts cost maybe $750 for a print run opening a new language, but single color, single sheet pamphlets can of course be printed in far greater quantities at far less cost. |
Evangelism projects cover not salary, but transport cost for people to visit new areas. This can cost, for a year, maybe $200/year, while they set up the new project. |
Administration. Keeping track of what’s going on so that we can report to you, and making sure the work is conducted so that we have the best chance of a permanent, positive result, takes oversight (‘bishop’ means ‘overseer’, so this is Biblical, see 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1 and Paul’s example in Acts and in his letters). We require our saints to pay tithes to their churches and our ministers to pay tithes to their leaders. If you want to help, you’re welcome.
